If you do not have a battery holder in the back of your guitar, we recommend placing the battery between the tremolo tension springs.
We supply 2 stronger springs to compensate for the loss of one spring if you place the battery in the back.
Lots of players do not use the tremolo so in that case you can place the battery next to the tremolo block.
You can put the jack upside down and place the battery in the cavity or place between the springs in the back.
With all strat kits we supply a jack plate and 2 strong springs, srews and a wiring diagram.
Instruction sheet is supplied with the Langcaster Pickups kitset. Here are some additional instructions.
MAKE SURE THE KITSET IS WORKING OUT OF THE BOX FIRST AND TEST SO YOU KNOW ALL IS WORKING !
Connect the battery and put
a guitar cord in your amp or home stereo input.
HAVING PUT THE KITSET PARTS IN THE ORIGINAL PICK GUARD, TEST FIRST BEFORE SOLDERING!
The kitset supplied is in working order! when you have the parts removed from the guard supplied and placed in your own pick guard.
The pre-amp + overdrive is incorporated on the PC board , you can place this between the switch and pots.
Drill a6.5 mm or 1/4" hole to fit the toggle switch for the overdrive OR have a push/pull pot for the overdrive and gain controll.
After you have replaced the kitset in your own pick guard , TEST AGAIN! This is to make sure no wire is loose or broken.
